How to create invoice

Creating invoices is quick and easy. With this guide, you'll be able to generate a new invoice in just a few clicks. The setup process is short, and once it's done, you'll mostly use the Invoice Page to create invoices instantly.
Getting Started with the Invoice Application
To begin using the invoice feature:
- First, register your account and create your company profile.
- If you're part of an existing company, you may have already received an invitation from your company admin.
- Once your company account is active, go to the Applications page and click “Add Invoice Application.”
After completing these steps, the invoice tool will be available under your company account, and you can start creating invoices right away.
Do I Need to Remember Customer Details?
Not at all. Daybook includes a Customer Management application to store your clients' information securely.
Why is this helpful? When you start typing a customer's name on the Create Invoice page, the system will automatically suggest matching names. Once you select a customer, Daybook will autofill most of the invoice fields using the stored data—saving you time and effort.
How Many Free Invoices Can I Create?
By default, you can create up to 12 invoices for free. If you need more to test the system, just reach out we’re happy to help.
How Many Invoices Can Daybook Handle?
Daybook is a cloud based platform, so whether you’re creating one invoice or one billion, we’ve got you covered.
Can I Customize My Invoice Design?
Yes! All users have access to a basic invoice design. If your company requires a custom layout, we can tailor the PDF output to match your branding. Just send us a sample invoice, and we’ll configure Daybook to replicate your style.
Who Can Access My Company’s Invoices?
Only you and those you grant permission to can access your invoice data. You’re always in control.
Use the Permissions page to manage staff access. By default, staff members do not have access to your company’s applications unless you explicitly allow them to View, Edit, Delete, or Change Permissions.
How Long Are Invoices Stored?
We do not delete any data as long as your company account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, your data will be removed upon request.
